Feedback provided to the tutee: My tutee wanted to focus more on grammar in use, as she feels like she knows the rules but when it comes to actually using them in her day to day conversations she has a hard time. From here I started asking her some basic questions to get her talking a little bit about herself in English so I could asses some of the mistakes she could be making. We practiced correcting these errors and went over speaking in the past and future tense as these were the areas she struggled with the most. I suggested that she could try going over some simple past and future sentences that are commonly used so she can easily recognize them, as well as listen to some podcast and hear how the two people speak to one another.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: Something I learned about tutoring is that by repeating back to them the sentence they just spoke with the corrections to them, helps them repeat the correct words and ways of saying the things they want to say. I noticed that the more I did this the better her grammar in-use got as we went through more examples and questions.
