Topic/Skill: Speaking 

Feedback provided to the tutee: I asked him questions about his week and how his classes have been going since our last session. I continued providing corrections to his grammar in use and asked him more casual questions about his weekend plans and even future travel. Focusing on him using the proper tenses in his speech. I let him choose the topics for our next meeting to help him stay engaged. 

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I learned that along with not having a full vocabulary his confidence in speaking English needs to be worked on. Because of this I made sure to acknowlege not only the mistakes being made but also the times where he was using the the correct words and tenses in context. I felt that by the end of the session he felt more eager to learn and comfortable making mistakes and correcting himself.

 Date/Time: September 2nd  Topic/ Skill: Grammar--Future Continuous Tense  Teacher Presentation: The teacher modeled how to use the future continuous tense in everyday language while also providing easy ways on how to remember when to use it.  Classroom Management: The teacher timed each section of the lesson very well, broke it up into parts. Parts included: teaching, examples, discussion, activity, review.  Material: Powerpoint and Textbook Student Participation: Everyone gave their own example during the discussion and activity points of the lecture.  Feedback Provided: The teacher would listen to the example sentences given by the students and would correct the vocabulary or grammar tense errors.
