Topic/Skill: Grammar + Speaking 

Feedback provided to the tutee: We went over her grammar quiz that was on gerunds and infinitives. As we went over the quiz I provided her with feedback on what she could do to avoid making the same mistakes in the future. By giving her these quick tips we were able to identify what areas were giving her the most trouble when it came to this specific grammar lesson.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: What I learned from the lesson, was the importance of not only error correction but also the importance of reinforcement. By reinforcing how these grammar topics are properly used with the use of error corrections and examples I saw her slowly improve.

 Date/Time: September 2nd  Topic/ Skill: Grammar--Future Continuous Tense  Teacher Presentation: The teacher modeled how to use the future continuous tense in everyday language while also providing easy ways on how to remember when to use it.  Classroom Management: The teacher timed each section of the lesson very well, broke it up into parts. Parts included: teaching, examples, discussion, activity, review.  Material: Powerpoint and Textbook Student Participation: Everyone gave their own example during the discussion and activity points of the lecture.  Feedback Provided: The teacher would listen to the example sentences given by the students and would correct the vocabulary or grammar tense errors.
