I prepared worksheets for grammar, vocabulary, and reading at the beginner
level. Below are the areas I worked on with him during the session.
Grammar
·
Explained present tense and the verb to be.
·
Practiced simple sentences, negatives, and
questions using a handout created with AI.
·
Explained subject pronouns and matched them with
the correct form of to be.
Comprehension and
Reading
·
Created a summary storybook from his country
with questions.
·
Student read the story, and we underlined words
he didn’t know.
·
New words were written on index cards with
synonyms and example sentences.
·
Student was allowed to use a translator only as
a last option.
Phonics/Reading Practice
·
Created a handout with beginner-level words for
pronunciation; student practiced them.
Homework
·
Read the story in the handout and answer the
questions.

Check homework and continue working on grammar.
