Topic/Skill:Speaking/Presenting 

Feedback provided to the tutee: We went over her final presentation for the session. It was about eating/table manner differences between Americans and other countries. We went over how to better word her presentation and focused on fluency of her reading and at times corrected some pronunciation of words that were more difficult for her.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: What I learned from my tutee was that she actually does want a more professional vocabulary, so she enjoyed when I made suggestions for some word changes that would elevate her presentations. I think this helped me consider a lot more of what type of vocabulary each student is interested in learning as she is a business students and probably wants to learn more professional vocabulary to better explain herself in meetings and business discussions.

 Date/Time: September 2nd  Topic/ Skill: Grammar--Future Continuous Tense  Teacher Presentation: The teacher modeled how to use the future continuous tense in everyday language while also providing easy ways on how to remember when to use it.  Classroom Management: The teacher timed each section of the lesson very well, broke it up into parts. Parts included: teaching, examples, discussion, activity, review.  Material: Powerpoint and Textbook Student Participation: Everyone gave their own example during the discussion and activity points of the lecture.  Feedback Provided: The teacher would listen to the example sentences given by the students and would correct the vocabulary or grammar tense errors.
