Topic/Skill: Grammar, listening and Reading

 

As usual, I first checked his homework from last Saturday and provided feedback. In most of these sessions, we practice topics from previous lessons using new worksheets. Below are the areas we covered during this session:

 

Grammar

·         Practiced the Simple Present, Past, and Future Tenses as a review. I prepared a mixed worksheet for him.

·         Practiced prepositions learned from previous sessions and introduced new prepositions of movement/direction.

·         Explained and practiced possessive adjectives and possessive pronouns.

 

Comprehension, Reading, and Listening

·         Listening: None this session

·         Reading: Checked homework and provided feedback on his answers.

 

Homework

·         Grammar practice handout.

·         Reading handout with comprehension questions.

 

·         Speaking (Conversation)
Spent about 10 minutes asking him what he did last week. The goal was to encourage him to speak louder and form complete sentences.

 

Improvements
       He now answers in complete sentences in his worksheets, whereas before he answered with

       short responses.

 

Next Session Plan

·         Review his homework.

·         Work on the Future Continuous Tense.

·         Continue with reading and listening activities.

 Date/Time: September 2nd  Topic/ Skill: Grammar--Future Continuous Tense  Teacher Presentation: The teacher modeled how to use the future continuous tense in everyday language while also providing easy ways on how to remember when to use it.  Classroom Management: The teacher timed each section of the lesson very well, broke it up into parts. Parts included: teaching, examples, discussion, activity, review.  Material: Powerpoint and Textbook Student Participation: Everyone gave their own example during the discussion and activity points of the lecture.  Feedback Provided: The teacher would listen to the example sentences given by the students and would correct the vocabulary or grammar tense errors. Date/Time: Wednesday 9/17/2025, 7:00-8:00 pm Location: Starbucks Coffee Shop Topic/Skill: Speaking, Reading Below are the areas I worked on with him during the session. Comprehension and Reading ·          Read aloud the essay Tom Sawyer , which was assigned as homework. ·          After each paragraph, I asked him to explain it.
