Topic/Skill: Grammar, listening and Reading

 

I reviewed his homework from last Saturday and provided feedback. Below are the areas we covered during this session:

 

Grammar

·         Practiced more on the Simple Present, Past, Future Tenses, as well as the Present & Future Continuous Tense.

·         Explained the Past Continuous Tense and completed a related practice worksheet.

 

Comprehension, Reading, and Listening

·         Listening: I read two short stories aloud and asked comprehension questions related to the stories.

·         Reading: Reviewed his reading homework and provided feedback on his answers. 

 

Homework

·         Assigned an additional grammar practice handout.

 

Speaking (Conversation)
        Watched a YouTube video about a coffee shop, then discussed and answered questions related to the video.

 

Improvements
       Same as last time.

 

Next Session Plan

·         Review his homework.

·         Provide additional tense practice.

·         Continue with reading and listening activities.

 Date/Time: September 2nd  Topic/ Skill: Grammar--Future Continuous Tense  Teacher Presentation: The teacher modeled how to use the future continuous tense in everyday language while also providing easy ways on how to remember when to use it.  Classroom Management: The teacher timed each section of the lesson very well, broke it up into parts. Parts included: teaching, examples, discussion, activity, review.  Material: Powerpoint and Textbook Student Participation: Everyone gave their own example during the discussion and activity points of the lecture.  Feedback Provided: The teacher would listen to the example sentences given by the students and would correct the vocabulary or grammar tense errors. Comprehension and Reading ·          Read aloud the essay Tom Sawyer , which was assigned as homework. ·          After each paragraph, I asked him to explain it.
